The big day has finally arrived! That's right, Saturday Night Live UK will air on Sky One tonight - and there's a lot to look forward to.

Not only will former head writer for SNL Tina Fey host the first episode of the inaugural UK series but there is a cohort of British comics to get to know and familiarise yourself with as the series gets under way.

Tonight's episode will be staged in front of a live studio audience, featuring an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music and a UK take on Weekend Update.

But who are the comics joining the fold? Read on to get to know the cast of Saturday Night Live UK.

Celeste Dring

Celeste Dring is a comedy writer and actress, best known for her roles in Wanderlust and The Windsors.

She first began her comedy career in a fringe theatre trio in 2013, which later became a duo under the name Lazy Susan. Featuring alongside Freya Parker, Lazy Susan were nominated for the comedy newcomer award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and had their own sketch show on BBC Two.

Over her career, Dring has also appeared in This Country and lent her voice to BBC Radio 4's Sketchorama.

Hammed Animashaun

Hammed Animashaun is an actor with roles across the stage and television, having starred in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Barber Shop Chronicles and Kiss Me, Kate on stage while also starring in Prime Video's The Wheel of Time and BBC comedy series Black Ops.

It was for the latter series he won best male comedy performance at the 2024 Royal Television Society Programme Awards. He was also nominated in the same category at the BAFTA TV Awards the same year.

Larry Dean

Larry Dean is a stand-up comedian who began his comedy career while he was a student at university in 2010.

Like many of his co-stars, Dean has been a regular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – his previous shows have included Fandan and Fudnut, both of which are available to watch on his YouTube page.

He has also appeared on Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Big Show and Gifted.

George Fouracres

George Fouracres is an actor who has performed extensively on stage, particularly at Shakespeare's Globe with Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and The Comedy of Errors.

He was also one part of comedy sketch group Daphne, alongside Phil Wang and Jason Forbes.

His TV and film credits include Steve, The Franchise and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.

Jack Shep

Jack Shep is an actor and comedian, and has appeared in the likes of Big Boys, Changing Ends and This Place Is a S**thole.

He has performed stand-up and online comedy and was shortlisted for the BBC new comedy award in 2023.

Ayoade Bamgboye

Ayoade Bamgboye is a comedian who debuted her first solo show Swings and Roundabouts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025, and she quickly scooped the award for best newcomer.

She can also be seen in her Channel 4 Comedy Playground short Rise and Shine with Channel 9, and worked an assistant to director Yorgos Lanthimos on his Oscar-winning film Poor Things.

Al Nash

Al Nash is a comedian and actor whose online sketches have amassed over 100 million views across social media.

He has also regularly performs stand-up and holds an Al Nash & Friends variety night at The Moth Club in London.

Paddy Young

Paddy Young is an actor and comedian, who some may recognise from his role as Jeb in Everyone Else Burns season 2, as well as smaller parts in Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping and Timewasters.

In 2023, he was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award for best newcomer for his debut show Hungry, Horny and Scared.

Ania Magliano

Ania Magliano is a comedian and writer who has seen a steady rise to fame after placing as a finalist in the Funny Women Awards in 2020.

As well as her acclaimed stand-up shows, she has featured on Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo and Clash of the Comics, and has written for Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date.

Annabel Marlow

Annabel Marlow is a theatre actor and comedian who appeared in the original production of Six the Musical as Katherine Howard.

She also had a sold-out run of her one person show ...Is This Okay ?? at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Emma Sidi

Emma Sidi is an actress, comedian and writer who has worked across stage and screen.

She has appeared on a number of much-loved TV programmes, including W1A, Stath Lets Flats, Starstruck, Ghosts and Taskmaster, and has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, most recently with her 2024 show Emma Sidi Is Sue Gray.

Saturday Night Live UK launches on to Sky One and NOW on Saturday 21 March at 10pm.
