Untamed soundtrack: Songs and score for Netflix thriller
From Johnny Cash to Colter Wall.
When a young woman goes over the edge of El Capitan in the opening episode of Netflix's Untamed, Agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) is determined to uncover what really happened to her.
But the closer he gets to the truth, the greater the risk to his own reputation – and life.
"I was sent the script back in 2019," he told Variety. "I read it and loved it. I just thought it was such a fantastic combination of the thriller genre, the suspense, the murder mystery, but most importantly in the most incredible setting.
"I think the idea of following someone who’s trying to solve a crime, knocking on doors and driving a car, I’ve seen that so many times. To see someone in a national park do it on a horse just seems so much more interesting and much more fun to do.... I attached myself immediately."
Bana went on to say that he was "pretty blown away" by the journey Untamed goes on.
"I was thrilled with the journey of the character and the story and the twists and turns and the opportunities within the rest of the cast to have all these amazing characters and amazing actors as well," he added.
But it's not just the story and setting that are likely to leave a lasting impression on viewers. The music will also stay with you long after the final credits have rolled.

Untamed Score
Award-winning composer Jeff Russo scored the music for Untamed.
His extensive CV includes Ripley, Fargo, Power, The Umbrella Academy, The Night Of and multiple Star Trek titles.
Russo is also a lead guitarist and songwriter for Grammy-nominated rock band Tonic.
