Actor Noel Clarke arrested over historic attempted rape allegation
The actor has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Actor Noel Clarke has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, according to reports.
Clarke, best known for his 2006 film Kidulthood and for starring in Doctor Who, is also facing allegations of exposure and sexual assault by touching.
As reported by The Sun, the actor was questioned by detectives this week and bailed pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault by touching on Tuesday 10th February. He was interviewed by detectives.
“This arrest relates to a sexual offence, which is alleged to have taken place in 2007 in London against a woman in her 20s.
“The man was also interviewed in relation to a voyeurism allegation, for which he was previously arrested in September 2025. This relates to an offence allegedly committed in 2013 at an address in London against a woman in her 20s.
“The man was bailed pending further inquiries and the Met’s investigation continues.”
Radio Times has reached out to Clarke's representatives for further comment.
In August, Clarke lost a libel case against The Guardian, after he sued the newspaper’s publisher over allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has strongly denied.
In September, Clarke was ordered to pay at least £3 million of publisher Guardian News and Media’s legal fees, which saw him declare bankruptcy.
