Gemma Arterton stars in first look at new spy thriller based on best-selling novel from ITV favourite
The new series spoils viewers with a truly star studded cast.

ITV has released a first-look trailer of a new spy thriller featuring Bond girl Gemma Arterton in the lead.
The new five-part espionage thriller Secret Service is adapted from the bestselling novel by Tom Bradby, a novelist and journalist who has presented the ITV News at Ten since 2015.
Secret Service is a gripping and timely thriller set against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions. It follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson as she uncovers intelligence suggesting a high-ranking British politician may be operating as a Russian asset.
As trust fractures within the corridors of power, Kate is drawn into an increasingly dangerous web of deceit, where shifting loyalties and personal stakes collide and exposing the truth could cost her everything.

Produced by Gail Egan, the spy thriller marks a creative reunion between Tom Bradby and Oscar-winning director James Marsh, who directs the first three episodes.
The duo have previously worked together in 2012 when Marsh directed the film Shadow Dancer, based on the 1998 novel and screenplay of the same name written by Bradby. The political thriller set during the Northern Ireland Troubles marked their first collaboration and established their working relationship.
The final two episodes of Secret Service are directed by Farren Blackburn.
Secret Service is coming to ITV1 and ITVX soon.
