Thursday Murder Club star joins Trying season 5 as new cast members confirmed
Several new faces have been added for the upcoming run – also including stars from Merlin and Famalam.

Several new cast members have been announced for the fifth season of Apple TV+ comedy-drama Trying – with Thursday Murder Club's Celia Imrie and Merlin star Colin Morgan among those joining Rafe Spall and Esther Smith in the ensemble.
There will also be new roles for Famalam stars Gbemisola Ikumelo and Danielle Vitalis and Hullraisers's Leah Brotherhead.
The series – which first launched in 2020 – was created by Andy Wolton and follows a couple who turn to adoption after dealing with fertility struggles, with their new parenting journey throwing up all sorts of challenges for them.
According to Deadline, Imrie is set to play a character named Harriet, who Jason (Spall) meets while training for a new job and is described as "a stubborn upper-class hoarder".

As for Morgan, he'll be playing Kerry – a co-worker of Nikki (Smith) who "exudes confidence and a laid-back charm".
Meanwhile, Ikumelo's character Chrissy is a social worker who acts as a mentor to Jason while character details for Vitalis and Brotherhead are yet to be revealed.
Trying was renewed for a fifth run back in May, almost a year after the fourth outing had finished airing. We're still awaiting information regarding a launch date for the new season, but we'll be looking out for an announcement in the near future.
