Endings explained.

Like pretty much any soulslike, there are a variety of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers endings to explore depending on the things you do in your playthrough.
Whether that's your bog-standard bad ending or the true ending, you'll probably need a guide if you want to see them all – a guide like this!
Make sure you get some fast levels before you take on the final boss!
We've put together a list of all of the different endings in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers with quick explainers on how to achieve each one.
How many endings are there in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?
There are a total of four endings in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
These are:
- Jarful of Medicine (Bad Ending)
- Dream's Sweet Deceit (Good Ending)
- Bound By Fate's Threads (True Ending)
- Successor of the Bo (Secret Ending)
Each of these endings requires you to perform certain specific tasks in your playthrough to unlock, which we'll explain for each down below.
More specifically, two of these endings require you to find the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth, which we've explained how to get at the very bottom of this page.
How to get the bad ending in Wuchang Fallen Feathers (Jarful of Medicine)
The bad ending is effectively the game's default ending, as it's the one that you'll probably achieve by playing the game blind – here's how to get it:
- Talk to the Storyteller in Worship's Rise in Ruins: Annalum and agree to help him
- Talk to Xuanyangzi in Worship's Rise in Ruins: Burning Cave and give him the Jade Feather Chisel
- Fight and defeat The Reborn / Dragon Emperor to be respawned in the Bo Capital
- Progress through the Bo Capital and defeat the final boss, Feathery Ambition
- Interact with the nearby gate and choose to enter the Realm of Samsara
How to get the good ending in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (Dream's Sweet Deceit)
This ending requires you to have obtained the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth (details at the bottom). Once you've done that, here's how to unlock the good ending in Wuchang:
- Defeat the Feathery Ambition final boss with the Ring of Samsara in your inventory
- Interact with the nearby gate and choose to enter the Realm of Dreams instead of the Realm of Samsara
How to get the true ending in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (Bound By Fate's Threads)
If you've got the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth, then the true ending is just as simple as the good ending:
- Defeat the Feathery Ambition final boss with the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth in your inventory
- Before interacting with the gate, select the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth in your inventory, and either 'Use' it or 'Discard' it
- With the Ring out of your inventory, interact with the gate and enter the Realm of Truth
How to get the secret ending in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Wuchang's secret ending requires the most work to unlock, but can also be done much earlier in the game, rolling the credits before you even reach the Bo Capital. Here's how to unlock it:
- Talk to the Red-Clad Lady every time you encounter her. She will be in the following locations:
- Worship's Rise: Reverent Temple
- Worship's Rise: Buddha Hills
- Worship's Rise: Doomwillow Beach
- Zhenwu: Avian Dwelling
- After meeting her at the Avian Dwelling shrine, listen to her talk and agree with her, receiving the Divine Blessing spell
- Progress the game until you reach Worship's Rise in Ruins: Annalum. Talk to the Storyteller and select 'Refuse' both times you are prompted
- Progress to the Palace Pass Entrance
- Fight and defeat the Bo Magus to unlock the secret ending
How to get the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
In order to get the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth, you need to combine the Ring of Samsara – Cause and the Ring of Samsara – Effect in Chapter 5 of the game.
The Ring of Samsara – Cause is obtained from Fang Yao in Worship's Rise in Ruins by fully progressing their questline.
Similarly, the Ring of Samsara – Effect is obtained from He Youzai in Worship's Rise in Ruins by fully progressing their questline.
