Valve confirms Steam Link support for surprising Apple product
Full Steam ahead for Apple.

As Valve prepares to probe further into the world of VR gaming with the Steam Frame, the company has confirmed a surprising but welcome collaboration with Apple.
Valve has a wealth of new hardware coming to market this year, with the Steam Machine undoubtedly the pick of the bunch for most players, though the new Steam Frame VR headset will be a godsend to VR fanatics.
But if you're just as much an Apple fan as a Valve one, then a recent announcement will be music to your ears.
Valve has confirmed that it will be bringing Steam Link functionality to the Apple Vision Pro, Apple's own mixed reality headset.
Players will be able to play traditional games from their Steam library on the Apple Vision Pro by streaming wirelessly from a nearby PC or Mac.
Games will be able to run in up to 4K resolutions, and players will be able to dynamically adjust the curve of the display within the headset.

It should be noted that, unlike traditional VR headsets like the Steam Frame or Meta Quest, the Apple Vision Pro is not a VR headset, but a mixed reality one.
That means that, instead of playing games made for virtual reality – your Beat Sabers and Half-Life: Alyxs – this will support playing the kinds of games that you would otherwise display on a monitor or TV.
That being said, this could potentially open the door for VR gaming support on the Apple Vision Pro further down the line.
Steam Link originally launched as a physical box in 2015, before moving to a software-only model in 2018.
This is not the first time Apple and Valve have come together like this, with Steam Link functionality already being available on Mac, iPhone and Apple TV.
Considering how limited the Apple Vision Pro's external gaming capabilities have been thus far, this will no doubt be a welcome addition for any owners who want to make the most of it while churning through their backlog.
