How to watch The Naked Gun reboot – is it streaming?
This reboot/sequel starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson aims to live up to the hilarious originals.

The Naked Gun is back on the big screen for the first time in over 30 years with a brand new reboot.
Liam Neeson picks up the mantle from comedy legend Leslie Nielsen as the son of the original trilogy's lead cop Frank Drebin, while there are also supporting roles for Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser and Danny Huston.
Directed and co-written by The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer and produced by Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, the film has been a big hit with both critics and audiences.
Doing an impressive job of matching the original film's laugh-a-second script and clever sight gags, the movie has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90% at the time of writing.
In fact, there are so many jokes crammed in that even if you've seen the film already, you may be looking to watch it again to catch what you missed the first time.
So read on to find out where can you watch The Naked Gun and whether it's available to stream yet.
How to watch The Naked Gun: Is it streaming anywhere?
The Naked Gun is getting an exclusive theatrical release, so is not currently streaming anywhere.
For now, the only way to watch The Naked Gun is in cinemas.
It is currently on wide release all around the UK, so there should be no shortage of choice for where to see it.
That being said, the movie is being released by Paramount, so it's likely that it will land on the Paramount+ streaming service once its run in cinemas is over.
No firm release date has yet been given and – if successful in cinemas – that might not be for a while.
The Naked Gun cast: Who stars in the reboot?

The confirmed cast for the legacy sequel is:
- Liam Neeson as Lt Frank Drebin Jr
- Pamela Anderson as Beth Davenport
- Paul Walter Hauser as Capt Ed Hocken Jr
- Kevin Durand as Sig Gustafson
- Danny Huston as Richard Cane
- Liza Koshy as Detective Barnes
- Cody Rhodes as Bartender
- CCH Pounder as Chief Davis
- Busta Rhymes as Bank Robber
- Michael Bisping as himself
- Eddy Yu as Detective Park
- Moses Jones as Nordberg Jr
- "Weird Al" Yankovic as himself
Neeson, Hauser and Jones are all playing the children of characters introduced in the original 1988 film.
Nordberg was originally played by none other than OJ Simpson, and the trailer for the new movie makes no effort to hide the controversies that now surround that character.
Additionally, "Weird Al" Yankovic appearing as himself is actually a reprisal, given that he also played himself - very briefly - back in the first film of the franchise. He then showed up for further cameos in 1991's The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear and again in 1994, for Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult.
The Naked Gun plot: What happens in the reboot?

While the 1988 Naked Gun film spoofed the police dramas of its time, this year's offering has a whole new world to play with - Frank Drebin Jr isn't comfortable in this new age of police accountability.
There's a decent smattering of social commentary, but the hallmark tropes of the franchise are all there: comedy comes first.
Drebin has to balance falling in love with Beth Davenport with discovering the truth behind billionaire Richard Cane.
Fans of the '88 film will recognise these plot points as familiar, but that doesn't mean The Naked Gun is unoriginal. It uses the established format to tell new jokes and a new story, and break down these new characters.
Is there a trailer for The Naked Gun?
Yes! After a couple of teaser trailers, the full trailer for the movie was released in June 2025, and it showcases the style of humour and action that will feature in the film.
It also gives audiences a good look at both Neeson and Anderson's performances – as well as dropping hints about the shape of the movie's story.
The Naked Gun is in cinemas now.
