One Battle After Another was the big winner at the BAFTA Film Awards at London's Royal Festival Hall tonight (Sunday 22nd February) – with Paul Thomas Anderson's hugely acclaimed film taking six awards including best film.

The glittering ceremony was hosted by Alan Cumming and included a range of big name guests including the singing stars of K-Pop Demon Hunters and a special appearance from Paddington Bear, while Hamnet, Sinners and Frankenstein were among the other films to score multiple wins.

Meanwhile, in perhaps the biggest surprise of the night, I Swear star Robert Aramayo was named best actor ahead of favourite Timothée Chalamet, having already won the BAFTA rising star award earlier in the evening.

Aramayo's win wasn't the only upset in the acting categories, with Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku winning best supporting actress and One Battle After Another's Sean Penn best supporting actor. However, as had been expected, it was Jessie Buckley who won best leading actress for her turn in Hamnet.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Akinola Davies Jr's My Father's Shadow in the outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer category and for Sentimental Value in film not in the English language.
