Dark Matter season 2 confirms release date on Apple TV after 2-year wait
Dark Matter season 2 is officially on its way!

After two years, Dark Matter is set to return to Apple TV this summer, with season 2's release date officially being confirmed.
Season 2 will premiere on 28 August, with first-look photos showing Joel Egerton's Jason, and Jennifer Connelly's Daniela, back in action.
Cast members Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, Oakes Fegley and Amanda Brugel are also set to return.
The streamer has also shared the logline for season 2, which reads: "Season 2 picks up with the Dessens as they settle into a quiet life in a world that finally seems safe until the unimaginable forces them to run once again.
"As Jason’s obsession with the Box deepens, Daniela’s (Connelly) growing paranoia pushes her to the brink, threatening to tear their fragile stability apart.

"Elsewhere, Amanda (Braga) and Ryan (Simpson) join forces in a desperate attempt to find their way home. With Blair (Brugel) determined to stop him, Leighton (Okeniyi) relentlessly chases his grand vision of creating a perfect world."
Blake Crouch, who wrote the 2016 novel that the series is based on, is returning as showrunner – and season 2 will act as a sequel and go beyond the source material, considering season 1 took us to the end of the events in the book.
Crouch previously said of season 2: "In the process of writing and filming season 1, we discovered that there’s so much more story to tell, and we’ve only scratched the surface of these characters as they fight for survival and to find their way home through a landscape of mind-bending realities.
"See you in the Box!”
