Sister Boniface Mysteries confirmed to be returning to BBC One and iPlayer – and it's soon
This should help tide fans over until season 4 hits U&Drama...

The Sister Boniface Mysteries is returning to BBC One and iPlayer this month, giving viewers a chance to catch the first two seasons – whether for the first time or for a cosy revisit.
The light-hearted detective series spans out of fellow daytime hit Father Brown and follows Lorna Watson's title character as she gets to the bottom of confounding cases in the aptly named village of Great Slaughter.
The show has amassed a large fan base since debuting on UKTV channel U&Drama, prompting the BBC to pluck these older episodes for a repeat performance on its top television channel.
The Sister Boniface Mysteries season 2 will premiere on BBC One from 2pm on Friday 22nd August 2025, with episodes expected to air weekly in that end-of-the-week slot (you'll also be able to stream the box set on iPlayer).
In the season 2 premiere, "Great Slaughter plays host to the summer roadshow of a popular children's TV programme" named Jolly Rodger, according to the official synopsis.
However, when the editor of the programme is found dead during the filming of the live show, local authorities will call upon Sister Boniface to decipher who on earth could be responsible.
The Sister Boniface Mysteries first migrated from U&Drama last summer, when BBC One showed the first season in its entirety, but the series has since been absent from iPlayer.
While these episodes won't be brand new to fans who have been keeping up on UKTV, they might help tide some viewers over until the much-anticipated fourth season debuts on U&Drama later this year.

On the next set of episodes, Watson previously teased to RadioTimes.com: "[There are] standalone episodes where it really does feel like a whole new world.
"We have a tribute to the old Batman-style movies, we have a Generation Game-esque show, the convent is also under threat. There's a lot of drama behind the scenes, aside from the cases that need to be solved. I would say it's quite big, this series."
Watson added: "I don’t think you'll be disappointed. Max [Brown, so-star] and I, we say this every year, but just when you think it couldn't get any bigger, it does."
Suffice to say, it seems that Sister Boniface has plenty more mysteries ahead of her. If you haven't met the charming, crime-solving nun yet, check out her distinct approach to sleuthing on BBC One and iPlayer this month.
