The Night Agent future confirmed by Netflix following season 3 - and there's good news and bad news
Peter Sutherland will be taking on one final mission.

Two months after The Night Agent was renewed for a fourth season, we have good news and bad news.
The good news is that the new season is now in production in Los Angeles. The bad news is that this will be the show's final run.
While fans will no doubt be sad to say goodbye to Gabriel Basso's Peter Sutherland, they can take heart in the fact that the decision to end the show on season 4 was made early, meaning the new run has been crafted with this in mind.
In a statement, creator Shawn Ryan said: "Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey.
"I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans. We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget."

It has been reported by Deadline that the decision to end the show was made after viewership slipped across seasons 2 and 3, but season 3 was well liked creatively by Netflix executives, and it was decided there was still interest from fans in getting a final run of the show.
We already know that Basso will be returning for season 4, while he will be joined by newcomers including Titus Welliver as a special DOJ prosecutor called Duval, Trevante Rhodes as Peter’s new partner Dom, Li Jun Li as Dom’s wife and Elizabeth Lail as Peter’s ex-fiancée, Zoe.

We don't yet know whether any other stars from seasons 1-3 will be back, although Albert Jones's Deputy Director Aiden Mosley and Fola Evans-Akingbola's Chelsea Arrington seem like likely returnees.
We could also potentially see a reunion for Peter with his seasons 1 and 2 love interest Rose Larkin, played by Luciane Buchanan.
Rose was notably absent in season 3, but both Buchanan and Ryan have teased that she could still return, were it to factor in cohesively with the story.
The Night Agent seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix now. Sign up for Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky Glass and Virgin Media Stream.
