Donkey Kong Bananza levels list: How many layers are there?
How deep is the Planet Core?

Games often have you moving upwards, whether that's climbing mountains, towers or whatever else – Donkey Kong Bananza levels are the complete opposite.
Bananza sees the eponymous ape digging to the Planet Core, with each layer of the planet making up a different level to explore.
But how many levels are there in Donkey Kong Bananza? We'll take you through each layer to let you know exactly how far you've got to go.
Donkey Kong Bananza levels list: How many layers are there?
There are a total of 17 main layers in Donkey Kong Bananza.
While this constitutes the main 17 levels you'll need to complete to beat the game, there are also multiple sublevels to explore, so the total number of layers overall is higher.
Each layer is denoted by a Sublayer number, effectively showing how deep into the planet it is.

On each layer, you'll be able to find a variety of Banandium gems and Fossils by exploring, though Terrain Strength also increases the further down you go, too.
The depth culminates once you hit Sublayer 1600 – Planet Core – where you'll reach the end of the game.
How to get to the next layer in Donkey Kong Bananza
To progress in Donkey Kong Bananza, you need to make your way through the various sublayers, all the way to the Planet Core.
To do this, you need to destroy the Void Stakes located in each level. These are the glowing, purple structures that look like Void Kong.
Destroying them earns you some Banandium Gems, and some levels will have multiple Void Stakes, so it's well worth the effort to explore and destroy them all.
