What are the new Netflix Original Christmas movies this year? Release dates and cast details
Netflix's regular Christmas slate has been announced for 2025.

In recent years, Netflix has been on a mission to release a Christmas movie for everybody, every year. Their solution to achieve this? Release a whole host of festive films every year, in the hopes that there'll be something for everyone.
While their Christmas schedules are often packed, this doesn't mean that the films are exactly Oscar-worthy. This year, there are four films coming out in the early weeks of the festive season which have a range of themes, from a heist movie to a gender-bending Santa Claus comedy and wine-related romance.
So, whether you're a fan of Netflix's original festive films or you just want to find something to put on in the background while the family's over, read on to find out all you need to know about Netflix's 2025 Christmas release schedule.
What are the New Netflix Original Christmas movies this year?
This year's offerings begins with A Merry Little Ex-mas, which follows a divorcee whose plans are wrecked when her ex shows up with his new girlfriend. Meanwhile, Champagne Problems (which seemingly borrows its title from the Taylor Swift song) is a romcom about an ambitious businesswoman set against the gorgeous backdrop of the French winter.
While Champagne Problems leans into the romance, Jingle Bell Heist is a romcom with the emphasis firmly on the 'com' which sees a pair of small-time thieves discover that they each plan to break into the same London department store. Hilarity ensues. Finally, My Secret Santa follows a single mother as she attempts to pass as a man to become a season Santa at a ski resort.
