The nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards have been announced, with Olivia Dean and Lola Young leading the way.

Both artists earned five nominations each, with Dean up for best pop act, artist of the year, best album for The Art of Loving, and best song for Man I Need.

Young is also up for best pop act, artist of the year and best song for her hit single Messy, as well as breakthrough act.

Sam Fender, who won the 2025 Mercury Prize for his third album, People Watching, follows shortly behind with four nominations, including album of the year and best single for his duet version of Rein Me In with Dean.

Lily Allen, whose album West End Girl, which chronicles the fallout from an open relationship inspired by her marriage to David Harbour, caused a big stir upon its release back in October, is nominated in three categories - artist of the year, best album and pop act.

Britpop band Pulp have received their first nomination in 30 years, in the best group category.

Dean said it feels "crazy" to receive five nominations.

She told the BBC: "I remember watching the Brits on TV when I was younger, and having gone to Brit School and now having this full circle moment 10 years later, attending the awards is going to feel very emotional."
