Snooker's best and brightest flock to China this week for the Shanghai Masters 2025.
The second event of the 2025/26 World Snooker Tour season brings together the top 16 players in the world rankings, the next four highest-ranked Chinese players, and four wild cards in a 24-strong field.
Defending champion Judd Trump, who claimed a comfortable victory over Shaun Murphy in the 2024 finally, and the rest of the top eight seeds get a first round bye, meaning they'll enter the tournament at the last 16 stage.
Five-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan will be among Trump's competition, while leading the charge in front of a home crowd will be world champion Zhao Xintong and the last Chinese player to win the Shanghai Masters, Ding Junhui, who lifted the trophy in 2016.
The good news for those seeking their snooker fix is that there will be extensive live coverage on TV and online.
