Will there be Leviathan season 2 on Netflix?
This thrilling steampunk anime series just premiered on Netflix.

The steampunk anime series Leviathan has some impressive names behind it, based on the popular YA novels by Scott Westerfeld, and introducing original music by longtime Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi. But with season 1's arrival on Netflix, can we expect it to continue with season 2?
Leviathan explores an alternate-history version of World War I, featuring battles between diesel-powered mecha genetically engineered animals. Drawing inspiration from the Leviathan books' illustrations, its cast of fantasy creatures includes giant flying jellyfish and airship whales.
Like the novel, this anime adaptation will focus on two young protagonists from opposing sides of the conflict: Prince Alek of the Austro-Hungarian empire, and a British girl named Deryn, who disguises herself as a boy so she can join the airship navy.
