TFI Friday with Chris Evans is returning to Channel 4 after 11 years – but with a twist
The show was last on Channel 4 in 2015.

Chris Evans is bringing TFI Friday back to its original home, as the revival Unplugged series launches later this week on Channel 4.
Channel 4 has announced it has acquired six episodes of the Virgin Radio UK YouTube show, with the weekly series to make its debut across the broadcaster on Friday 17 April from 11pm. It will also be available to stream for free on Channel4.com and the Channel 4 YouTube channel.
The first episode will feature Sam Ryder, Shreya Ghoshal, Jack Savoretti, Sindhu Vee, Gemma Arterton, Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo.
Cimran Shah, commissioning editor of reality entertainment at Channel 4, commented: "TFI Friday was doing stripped-back, personality-led chat long before visualised-podcasts were a twinkle in our eyes! I’m thrilled that this deal brings TFI back to Channel 4, reimagined in a way that feels fresh, immediate and perfectly suited for a new generation wherever they watch Channel 4."

The series first launched in the 1990s, and quickly became synonymous with live music, irreverent interviews and unpredictable moments.
According to Channel 4, "this new Unplugged version from Virgin Radio retains that DNA while embracing a more intimate, contemporary format".
The original run consisted of six seasons from 1996 to 2000, before it concluded. A one-off revival episode was broadcast in 2015 before Channel 4 announced it had commissioned a full revived series. But after that seventh season, the broadcaster announced there were no plans for any further series.
Dennie Morris, director of audio, news broadcasting, at News UK said: "TFI Friday is one of those rare formats that never really left the cultural conversation, and we're proud to see this iconic title - and the genius of Chris Evans - find its way back to Channel 4 reimagined through Virgin Radio UK’s TFI Unplugged. We look forward to audiences rediscovering what made the show so special, wherever and however they choose to watch."
TFI Friday Unplugged begins across Channel 4 on Friday 17 April.
