Can you really trust a Traitor? That'll be the question on everyone's minds if Rachel and Stephen both make it to the final of The Traitors.

Since the beginning of the series, Traitors Stephen and Rachel promised to not betray one another or vote for each other at the roundtable, in the hopes of winning the series as a duo. But, reigning champion Jake Brown from season 3 (who won alongside Leanne Quigley) doesn't think that'll go according to plan.

While he stressed he doesn't know how the series will play out and if Rachel and Stephen will make it to the final episode, he has predicted that the pair will likely become very paranoid the closer they get to the finish line.

Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com on behalf of BetWright Online Casino, Brown explained: "I don't know how it will play out, because I'm not sure what will happen. What I will say is that final week, desperation kicks in, paranoia sets in. So we'll see Rachel or Stephen start to get paranoid about if the other one really is going to trust them."

Brown recalled season 1 when Wilf was unsure if he could trust Amanda, being paranoid that she would throw him under the bus as they had done to Traitors in the past, and drew similarities to Stephen who voted for both Hugo and Fiona.

He continued: "So I do wonder if that situation might happen again. Whereas they've got a pact at the moment that they are kind of looking after each other. But if heat comes in on one of them, I think they're both ruthless enough to do what it takes to kind of throw one under the bus to win the game, because it might take that. It's going to be hard. I think it's incredibly difficult for two Traitors to win."

Brown noted that he reckons the Traitors will make it to the final, though it would be difficult which Faithful will make it to the finish line.

"I think right now it's hard to see past the Traitors. I just think they've been really good," he told RadioTimes.com.

"Social skills, clever gameplay, the taking risks, they've worked together as well, which is nice to see, and it's really benefited them. Anytime anyone has mentioned either their names, they've kind of steered the direction away from them. So at the moment, I think both Traitors will be in the final five."

The Traitors season 4 continues on Wednesday 21st January at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Seasons 1-3 are available to watch on iPlayer.
