The Traitors season 4 finale ratings revealed as BBC hits record high
Warning: spoilers ahead for The Traitors finale.

The Traitors season 4 drew a huge viewership for its final last night (22nd January), achieving a record audience for an episode of the non-celebrity version of the BBC series.
The dramatic finale saw Traitors Stephen and Rachel manage to deceive the remaining Faithfuls until the bitter end and scoop the prize pot of £95,750 ($130,000) between them.
And the action clearly had viewers hooked, as the episode was watched by a live audience of 9.4 million viewers, peaking with 9.6 million, according to official UK viewing figures supplied by overnights.tv and reported by Deadline.
This figure is significantly higher than season 3’s finale, which lured in an audience of 7.4 million viewers.
It also marks the biggest viewership yet for an episode of the civilian version of the series, but is slightly behind the ratings for The Celebrity Traitors, which drew 11 million viewers during its finale last year.
The Traitors has steadily grown its audience throughout the season. The season 4 premiere lured in an average of 6.4 million viewers, according to overnight ratings, while Thursday night’s penultimate episode drew in an average of 8.44 million.
It was a jaw-dropping finale last night as audiences were treated to an extended episode, that ran for an hour and 15 minutes.
