Scott Maslen

From The Bill via EastEnders to new E! series The Royals, Scott Maslen is a familiar face on TV and another MasterChef contestant with Strictly Come Dancing credentials, having taken part in the show in 2010. Maslen’s also been on the pantomime scene, starring in Aladdin as Abanazar for the last two years in Bournemouth and Canterbury. He’ll return this year when it moves to Bromley. Maybe he’s borrowed a wish or two to get him through to the MasterChef final…

Natalie Lowe

Perhaps the contestants will ditch the pans and dance around the kitchen instead, as Scott Maslen’s Strictly dance partner Natalie Lowe joins the line-up, too. After skipping the 2013 series due to an injury, Natalie returned last year to partner up with presenter Tim Wonnacott. The duo were the third couple to leave the competition. Natalie will return to the ballroom for this series, possibly with a MasterChef trophy to make up for the lack of Glitterball...

Born in Liverpool, young Cheggers started his career as a variety performer in North Wales, moving to London to try his hand at acting, music and radio before finding his true calling as the presenter of kids' TV classics including Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, Cheggers Plays Pop and Saturday Superstore. He’s not long out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, placing fourth in February of this year, so perhaps this is one of many more reality shows to come. Everyone wants to go from the culinary delights of the MasterChef kitchen to the Bushtucker Trials of the I’m A Celeb jungle, right?
