Review

Jack Seale

Netflix has recently added the first four seasons of this rude but winning comedy. Sky homes, meanwhile, are rewarded for their long-term fandom with this new, sixth season, which begins here in suitable ribald style.

Last we saw them, Vinny (Joseph Gilgun) and his merry band of thieves were under threat from a vengeful gangster but, following an opening scene that is naughty even by Brassic standards, that’s put aside for now and a fresh caper is afoot. Vinnie meets an old-school tea leaf who has the original FA Cup stashed in his garage — and when the trophy inevitably goes missing, retrieving it requires a chaotic trip to an Ireland full of cheeky stereotypes.
