Martin Compston and Iain Glen lead the cast of a supernatural/ disaster thriller that has a touch of zombie apocalypse, a hint of pandemic paranoia and a good waft of climate change metaphor within its story about the crew of an oil rig off the Scottish coast turning on each other when they get cut off from the mainland. Comms are down and the rig is shaking because of a powerful, all-enveloping fog that seems to cause “psychological difficulty” among those who come into contact with it. As the situation worsens, the strong cast keeps the action on a rolling boil.
