Summary
Animated American sitcom following the comic misadventures of Philip J Fry (Billy West), a New York pizza delivery boy who is unwittingly cryogenically frozen on the eve of the year 2000, only to awaken in a retro-futuristic 31st century in New New York. He ends up doing a similar job, delivering cargo this time instead of pizza. He is joined by a group of eccentric characters, including one-eyed mutant Turanga Leela (Katey Sagal), foul-mouthed robot Bender (John DiMaggio) and lobster-like alien Dr Zoidberg (West). They all work for Planet Express delivery service, which is run by the unpredictable Professor Farnsworth (West). Created by Matt Groening ("The Simpsons"), "Futurama" premiered in 1999. After initially ending in 2003, it was revived in 2007. The final axe fell in 2013 after the series had clocked up 140 editions.
