Rachel Zegler and Ben Platt to star in new London staging of The Last Five Years
The two stars are celebrating 25 years of the show.

Theatre superstars Rachel Zegler and Ben Platt are returning to the London stage next spring for a very special staging of beloved musical The Last Five Years.
The Hunger Games and Dear Evan Hansen stars will perform an in-concert version to celebrate 25 years of the show, conducted and directed by original composer Jason Robert Brown.
The concerts will run from 24th to 29th March 2026 at the London Palladium, marking a fairly short turnaround for Zegler who made her very successful West End debut there in Evita this summer. Meanwhile Platt has not been on a London stage since appearing at the Eventim Apollo in 2019.
The Last Five Years premiered in Chicago 2001 before moving to off-Broadway in 2002. The show has seen numerous Broadway productions since but only appeared on the West End once in 2021.

The musical details the downfall a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. It was also made into a film in 2014 starring Anna Kendrick.
The show is being presented by Lambert Jackson productions and co-founder Jamie Lambert said: "This beautiful show which has impacted so many people around the world deserves this stellar cast for its 25th anniversary.
"Getting to work with Jason Robert Brown again, one of the greatest composers of our time, is a total privilege and his faith in Lambert Jackson is something we are forever grateful for."
Tickets for the concerts will go on sale on Friday 31st October at 10am and pre-sale is open now.
