Coronation Street: Stella Price to be trapped in Rovers Return fire

Will the landlady survive the blaze that is set to rip through the pub in March?


ITV has confirmed that Rovers Return landlady Stella Price (Michelle Collins) will be trapped in the blaze that will engulf the pub. 


“We have already revealed that more than one character could die as a result of the Rovers’ fire next month, and we can now confirm that Stella will be trapped as the fire grips our favourite local,” the show’s website states. “The Rovers was last engulfed in flames back in 1986, when then landlady Bet Lynch only narrowly escaped death. Will Stella share the same luck?” 

Sunita Alahan is widely expected to be one of fire’s victims as actress Shobna Gulati is set to leave the ITV soap after announcing her departure in October 2012. 

Viewers can witness the conflagration at the Weatherfield boozer in March. Footage from the original inferno from 1986 when Bet Lynch (Julie Goodyear) became trapped in her upstairs bedroom can be seen below:
