One month shy of a decade since the last cover, Radio Times turned its attention back to Doctor Who for the show's 20th-anniversary special, The Five Doctors.
Richard Hurndall didn't make a very good stand-in for the late William Hartnell, but he did try, whereas the fourth Doctor was reduced to appearing only in clips. Tom Baker had refused to appear - not even at a press conference, where a waxwork model of him was used instead. (Picture - Radio Times copyright) |
