Who won the Australian Open last year?

Madison Keys won the Australian Open 2025 by beating Aryna Sabalenka in the women's final.
The American got her hands on her first major title in a three-set victory over Sabalenka, who was the top seed and defending champion.
Keys won the first set 6-3 but her opponent stormed back to take the second 6-2 before the underdog wrestled back momentum to win the deciding set 7-5.
The 30-year-old's title defence was ended at the fourth round stage of the Australian Open 2026 by compatriot Jessica Pergula.
