Forget the Premier League title race, the relegation battle is where it's at. It's been a while since we saw a proper scrap in the lower reaches, and this one is shaping up to be an all-timer.

Tottenham are firmly in contention to line up as the team every Championship peer wants to beat next season while Leeds are being sucked into the mire amid renewed optimism from West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

If that's not enough drama, how about Burnley and Wolves beneath them all? Burnley are one victory away from really dialling up the pressure on those above them, while Wolves are enjoying a lovely run of form that could yet yield one of the greatest comebacks in top-flight history.

Each week, Radio Times Sport Editor Michael Potts and Sport Writer Ned Holmes present their Premier League predictions, including a selection for Upset of the Week, because football isn't played on paper after all.

How many picks will they get right in Matchweek 30?

Premier League predictions this weekend – Matchweek 30

Saturday 14 March

Burnley v Bournemouth (3pm) Not televised

MP: 1-0 Burnley win. UPSET OF THE WEEK. I'm going early with my upset. Perhaps its the inner drama junkie within me craving a relegation battle for the ages, but I think Burnley have what it takes to dig out an enormous result here. Their race should be run by now, but it isn't. Victory here against a Bournemouth side struggling for goals would light a fire under the teams above them.

NH: 3-1 Bournemouth win. Wins have been a rare commodity for Bournemouth in recent weeks, despite a long-running unbeaten streak, which is why Andoni Iraola’s side will relish their trip to Turf Moor. Belief is fading among Clarets fans and in the dressing room, and that is likely to mean another defeat against the Cherries.

Sunderland v Brighton (3pm) Not televised

MP: 1-0 Sunderland win. Two of the division's most perplexing teams collide in one of the least predictable matches of the season. Sunderland should play with freedom after hitting the 40-point mark but injuries have decimated their squad lately and an FA Cup defeat to Port Vale has rocked fans on Wearside. They remain a tough nut to crack and will be keen to atone for their missed opportunity in the cup.

NH: 2-1 Brighton win. Fortress Stadium of Light is no more. Brighton have shelved their slumber and, even in their recent defeat to Arsenal, looked back near their best recently. Sunderland's FA Cup upset at Port Vale may well have wiped away their recent momentum and could see them come undone against the Seagulls.

Arsenal v Everton (5:30pm) Sky Sports Main Event

MP: 2-0 Arsenal win. The Gunners are cranking up the pressure once again and following Manchester City's draw last time out, their spirits will be soaring. Everton are going along nicely but tend not to fare well against the big boys under David Moyes.

NH: Arsenal 2-0 win. This is not going to be one for the neutrals or the football purists. If it’s free-flowing football you like, then Mikel Arteta and David Moyes are hardly going to be the managers whose teams you like to watch the most. Arteta has credited Moyes with playing a huge part in his coaching education and the student will beat the teacher at the Emirates to keep the title charge on course.

Chelsea v Newcastle (5:30pm) Sky Sports Premier League

MP: 1-1 draw. Which Chelsea are we going to get this week? And which Newcastle will we see, for that matter? Both teams are turbulent: capable of terrific highs and inexplicable lows. A chastening European night for Chelsea will have knocked them, but an energy-sapping challenge against Barcelona may have depleted the Magpies' reserves.

NH: 2-2 draw. Chelsea and Newcastle head into Saturday’s game on the back of very different European fortunes. The Blues' leaky backline was exposed again by PSG and Eddie Howe's side should have some luck in front of goal at Stamford Bridge, but there’s little to suggest they can keep out the hosts' attacking talent at the other end.

West Ham v Man City (8pm) TNT Sports 1

MP: 2-0 Man City win. Manchester City haven't had a good week but it would be foolish to write them off at this stage of the campaign. They had won eight of their last nine games across all competitions prior to their draw against Nottingham Forest. They also demolished Newcastle in the FA Cup before being picked apart by Real Madrid during midweek. They'll bounce back from the Bernabéu with a win here.

NH: 2-1 Man City win. Though Man City’s shortcomings were exploited by Real Madrid in midweek, it’s fair to say the Bernabéu and the London Stadium are different propositions. Pep Guardiola’s side can’t afford another slip-up and will find their way past the Hammers, even if they face a few scares.

Sunday 15 March

Crystal Palace v Leeds (2pm) Sky Sports Cricket

MP: 1-0 Crystal Palace win. Both teams appear to be remembering who they are at this pivotal stage of the season. Crystal Palace look more like the side that clinched the FA Cup trophy and Jørgen Strand Larsen is clicking into gear, while Leeds appear to have remembered they're a newly promoted team and have suffered some really damaging defeats lately.

NH: 1-1 draw. Despite Leeds' upturn in form in 2026, the Whites have struggled to pull away from the relegation battle and Sunday screams of more of the same – a sterling performance that doesn't return three points. It's a quick turnaround for Crystal Palace, who play in Europe on Thursday, and that may mean the points are shared.

Man Utd v Aston Villa (2pm) Sky Sports Main Event

MP: 3-1 Man Utd win. This unlikely duel for third place should be a fascinating watch. United head into this one following a luxurious 11 days without a match while Aston Villa, hurting from punishing defeats to Wolves and Chelsea, are coming off the back of a trip to Lille. United should have the edge here.

NH: Man Utd 2-1 win. We are going to find out a lot more about Michael Carrick’s Man Utd over the next few weeks, following the first defeat of his tenure. The former midfielder has done a fantastic job but it’s been very vibes-based and his side have been found out a little recently. Aston Villa are on the rocks themselves and the difference could be the form of their key men, with Bruno Fernandes a cut above anything in the visitors' ranks.

Nottingham Forest v Fulham (2pm) Sky Sports Premier League

MP: 0-0 draw. It's hard to say Nottingham Forest are enjoying a new manager bounce as results have failed to take off but you can sense a mood shift, highlighted by that gutsy draw against Manchester City. Forest fans will know how important matches like this one are but do they have enough firepower to convert draws to wins?

NH: 2-0 Fulham win. Nottingham Forest showed fight to battle back for a draw against Man City but after a big European night on Thursday, Sunday’s task may be too much for them. Scoring goals has been the Reds' problem this term and they will find themselves outgunned by their West London visitors.

Liverpool v Tottenham (4:30pm) Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Premier League

MP: 3-0 Liverpool win. There are no positives for Tottenham fans. None. Hope has entirely evaporated and the football club is now in the lap of the gods. Spurs will lose to Liverpool at Anfield and round off the weekend clinging to 17th place scratching around for Harry Redknapp's number.

NH: 4-1 Liverpool win. This one could get ugly. Tottenham are all over the place at the moment and it feels like only a matter of time before Igor Tudor goes the way of his predecessors. Tudor’s ill-fated spell could come to an end in a defeat to a Liverpool side that are not that convincing themselves. The truth is, you don’t have to be to beat this Spurs team.

Monday 16 March

Brentford v Wolves (8pm) Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Premier League

MP: 1-0 Wolves win. Several weeks ago, this would have appeared to be a nailed on victory for the home side, but they've looked a little hesitant since crossing the 40-point barrier, as if they don't fully realise what they could achieve this season. Wolves have burst into genuine, sustained form and will be desperate to put on a show for neutrals across the country as the relegation battle intensifies.

NH: 2-1 Wolves win. UPSET OF THE WEEK. Maybe I’m just jumping on the bandwagon or maybe I’ve fallen for Rob Edwards's charm but I’m buying in on Wolves right now. The Old Gold have been good value for their recent victories and I’m backing them to earn another away at Brentford to breathe further life into their hopes of a remarkable great escape.
