The Traitors season 4 has been nothing short of a masterclass in betrayal, deception and double bluffs – and it all came down to tonight.

Audiences were treated to an extended special of The Traitors, as the finalists embarked on one last mission and roundtable before the winners were unveiled.

After the players decided to banish Jade, it was down to four players: Rachel, Jack, Stephen and Faraaz. But as they went round the roundtable once more, they decided to banish again, sure that another Traitor was amongst them. Once again they went round before banishing Faraaz and then Jack, leaving just two Traitors left in the game and thus, declaring the winners!

After much anticipation, Rachel and Stephen were revealed as the winner of The Traitors season 4. The pair won a share of £47,875!

The nation has been gripped throughout January, with viewers flocking to their TV sets each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.

The first episode of the fourth run has already been watched by over 12.1m viewers to date and continues to grow. With more than half the audience watching on iPlayer, the BBC has confirmed that the launch episode is up 25 per cent compared to season 3.

The Traitors also remains a big draw for younger viewers, launching at 2.6m for 16-34s, which is up 30 per cent on the last season.

Following tonight's finale, there is an extra special extended episode of The Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC One and Sounds.

Once more, Ed Gamble is joined by all of the finalists, the whole cast of their season and Claudia Winkleman as they react to the final episode and reveal everything about their time in the castle.

And fans don't have to worry about only be treated to one helping of The Traitors, with the second season of The Celebrity Traitors to come later this year!

While no famous faces have officially been confirmed, there has been plenty of speculation as to who could step into the castle, including the likes of Danny Dyer and Ruth Jones.
