Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Dates, locations and what to expect

Pokémon Go Fest is back for 2026 and will return with three events across three different cities this Summer, as well as a global event later in the year once again.

Niantic has lifted the lid on some of the first details about the events, including the dates and cities so you can start booking your flights and tickets.

Here is what we know about Pokémon Go Fest 2026 right now, as announed on the official Pokémon Go website.

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 Dates

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 will take place between Friday, 29th May, 2026 and Sunday 14th June, 2026. This period will take the event across three different cities each week, with unique ticketed citywide gameplay in each location as the festival rotates between the three cities.

This is about the same time the event takes place every year.

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 Cities

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 will take place across three different cities:

• Tokyo - Bay Area (Friday, May 29 – Monday, June 1, 2026, ticketed citywide gameplay from Monday, May 25, 2026)
• Chicago - Grant Park (Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026, ticketed citywide gameplay from Thursday, June 4, 2026)
• Copenhagen - Fælledparken (Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14, 2026, ticketed citywide gameplay from Thursday June 11, 2026)

On top of these events, Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global will also return with more details to be shared in March and the Spring about all four events.

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 What To Expect

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 will introduce new research quest and event specific Pokémon spawns in each of these cities, as we have seen in previous years. On top of that, regional Pokémon will appear in other regions across the world to give players a chance to catch some of the rarer creatures.

There will also be some unique raids that take place during the events, alongside shiny Pokémon spawns.

Finally, you can expect some new content updates and announcement for the game.
