Summary
Nikki and Jack attend the scene of a fatal car crash in which a driver lost control of her vehicle and the forensic evidence suggests it may not have been an accident and that the victim's son Kevin McDowd - a resident of Kingscote Bows care home - could be involved in the death. The teams begin to notice a pattern of foul play and a connection between the care home and other suspicious deaths that had previously gone unnoticed, while Kevin absconds and takes his friend Serena with him
Review
So several people are now dead and another is in a coma in hospital. It’s looking as though this carnage is all to do with blackmail and extortion rather than a jealous husband’s revenge.
But who or what is Splinter? And why is Simon Laing (Nitin Ganatra), the CEO of Hamilton Ashe hospital, being so obstructive? You don’t have to be a brilliant detective (ahem) like Nikki Alexander or Jack Hodgson to figure out it’s nothing to do with maintaining patient confidentiality.
Meanwhile, a piece of evidence lands in the forensic pathologists’ hands that makes very uncomfortable reading – but might just repair Nikki and Jack’s fractured working relationship.
