Setting a new bar for exhilarating escapist adventure, the best and most thrilling of the IMF movies finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) posing as a terrorist to buy plutonium before MI6 rogue agent Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) can enact his psycho doomsday scenario. The densely plotted story interconnects with several past plot threads, with myriad assassins and former allies jostling for attention, while events speed towards the nuclear-countdown climax. But what audiences really want to see is Cruise's sensational stuntwork, and the veteran action man doesn't disappoint, leading car and motorbike chases through Paris, racing over London rooftops and, in what must be one of the most spectacular cliffhangers ever, a helicopter battle over mountain terrain - an extraordinary sequence that ratchets tension into the stratosphere. This sixth episode in the series is an explosive and awe-inspiringly ambitious espionage extravaganza that you'll find impossible to resist.
Summary
Ethan Hunt and the IMF team join forces with CIA assassin August Walker to prevent a disaster caused by mysterious arms dealer John Lark and a group of terrorists known as the Apostles. However, Hunt and his colleagues are soon pushed to their limits thanks to a face from their past. Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie's sixth entry in the action thriller saga, starring Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill.
