Review

Paul Whitelaw

The great Nigerian author and activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a feminist icon, whose work continues to have a profound impact all around the world. Renowned for such ground-breaking and best- selling novels as Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, as well as the essay compendium/ hugely popular TED Talk We Should All Be Feminists, she’s undoubtedly one of the most significant literary figures of her generation. She’s also had a hit record; super-fan Beyoncé sampled parts of Adichie’s TED Talk in her 2013 track Flawless, thus introducing her teachings to a whole new audience. Adichie will be discussing all of that and more in this exclusive interview.
