As the series comes to an end, we begin with a flurry of announcements: Leslie and Ben are off to Washington, Joe and Donna are heading to Seattle, Larry – sorry, Gary – is retiring, and – oh no! – Pawnee Mayor Walter Gunderson is dead! Yes, we had no idea he existed, but apparently he was much loved. Cue a cameo from Bill Murray, who does a great benign corpse, and Ben and April auditioning a roster of Pawnee favourites in the search for an interim mayor.
