Summary
No flights, no phones - and one high-stakes, low-budget race to the finish. On a globe-spanning adventure of a lifetime, which pair will cross the line first?

Episode 4: Episode 4
Summary
The teams discover they are headed to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities - and with one pair almost 24 hours in front, the others are desperate to close the gap. The journey takes the competitors through three countries - China, Nepal and India - and with the mighty Himalayas in their way, they are required to fly to Kathmandu to continue the race
Review
Jane Rackham
The next checkpoint is Varanasi in India and the race leaders (no spoilers here) are now almost 24 hours ahead of their rivals. First — and none of them was expecting this — they are allowed to fly to Kathmandu and then have to cross Nepal, at the mercy of its poor road system and frequent landslides. It is, they discover, very different from China — buzzing and colourful —but some of the racers find the chaos of India overwhelming. They are starting to open their hearts, talking about personal matters such as their upbringing or disabilities. While a few are challenged by their travel experiences, it’s lovely to see others embrace their adventures, whether that’s a zipwire ride or spiritual moments at a holy site.
