"Shameless is up-to-date and down to
earth, which is good for me, because it's
such a contrast to my role in The Forsyte
Saga," says Gillian Kearney. She
returns as Marty's girlfriend Sue for the
start of a new run.
"I came
in at the end of the last series for a few
episodes, with a view to the future… then
they asked me back for this series."
That
must be a tough way to work, like being in
an extended audition? "Yes, but I thrive
under pressure and Shameless is good fun."
