Will GTA 6 have a physical edition at launch? Explained

hta-6-animations-leak

GTA 6.

GTA 6 will be getting a physical release on day one.

Unfortunately, the physical version of the game does not come with the game on a disc, it is instead a download code in a box.

This has been done, most likely, to stop any leaks of the game from reaching the wilds of the internet before it launches on 19 November 2026.

While this makes some sense, it is disappointing to physical collectors that the game is not launching on a disc on PS5 or Xbox Series X.

Fingers crossed a disc version will release later down the line for those who prefer to own the game that way.

Where to pre-0rder GTA 6 physical edition

You can pre-order GTA 6 right now from the likes of Amazon.

Pre-ordering the game will bag you a bunch of extras in the form of the Vintage Vice City Pack. You can also pre-order the Ultimate Edition of the game, which locks certain in-game shops behind it.

The GTA 6 price has been confirmed to be $80 USD (£69.99 GBP) for the Standard Edition or $100 (£89.99) for the Ultimate Edition.

While you wait for the game, you can pore over all of its latest screenshots or find out more about its multiplayer offerings at launch.
