Summary

Crime thriller starring Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison Brooks, a smart and determined deaf woman who spent years working in a police canteen, quietly observing officers and their conversations. Episode 5: Episode 5

Summary

Alison's feelings for Liam threaten to undermine the police's investigation, but after learning he has been using her to mislead the cops about the heist by hacking her hearing aids, she races to the gang's true target of the Hawthorne Estate Hotel. Meanwhile, the gang led by Braden executes their plan to steal the Joshi necklace using chaos and Liam's hacking to breach security, but a fatal shooting occurs

Review

Jane Rackham

As the gang’s audacious jewel heist gets under way, Alison has got herself into a complicated situation. Although tempted by Liam’s offer to start a new life with him in Panama, she still wants to do the right thing. She’s so conflicted she even consults her ne’er-do-well dad (John Bishop in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance).

But how can she trust the tech- savvy Liam, who’s not only doing something illegal but, having hacked into her hearing aids, knows she’s spied on him for the police? As they both betrayed each other, a happy- ever-after ending seems unlikely. Meanwhile, the heist gets nasty.
