Summary
Romantic thriller starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. Bodyguard and former secret serviceman Frank Farmer, still haunted by the assassination attempt on President Reagan, is asked to safeguard superstar singer and actress Rachel Marron who has been receiving death threats. But when Farmer visits Marron's luxurious home he is met with resentment from the singer and those around her.

Although snootily dismissed by the critics, director Mick Jackson's film was a huge hit in its day. Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner play the singer and her protector who fall in love amid a highly charged atmosphere of jealousy and death threats. The two megastars overcome the limitations of the daft script and throw themselves into the well-staged set-pieces. Costner is a trifle stern in his role, but Houston makes a creditable acting debut, and her rendition of I Will Always Love You became one of the biggest-selling singles of all time.
