Bradley and Barney Walsh return to host the all-action competition, as another set of contenders take on the Gladiators in five brutal events before they face the Eliminator.

Episode 9: Episode 9

Summary

Bradley and Barney Walsh host the first of this year's semi-finals. New Gladiator Cyclone doesn't hide her frustration in the locker room, an incredible performance in Powerball sets an all-time high score, and Viper takes his anger out on an unsuspecting crowd member's poster

It’s not often that a charismatic contestant threatens to outshine the Gladiators, but the majestically bearded “Joe H” comes mighty close in tonight’s semi-final. He gives Legend a cheeky wink before Duel and sends Viper into a rage on the Wall by sticking out his tongue. Even Bradley Walsh dons a big fake beard.

Legend, meanwhile, not content with mocking the contestants or antagonising the audience, is now trying the patience of his fellow Gladiators. After a particularly poor performance in Powerball, he tries to pass the buck onto his teammates, who he labels his “support team”. “You think his name is Legend?” says Apollo, fake yawning. “His real name is Delusional.”
