Question Time US Election Special

Summary

Fiona Bruce presents from National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ahead of next month's US presidential election, inviting American voters to quiz a panel on topics crucial to the electio, as well as the character and policy preferences of candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. On the panel are Republican and Democratic members of Pennsylvania's House of Representatives Martina White and Malcolm Kenyatta, the British-American political commentator Mehdi Hasan, adviser to Donald Trump Bryan Lanza and the BBC North American Correspondent Anthony Zurcher

Review

David Brown

Pennsylvania made headlines back in July when Donald Trump became the target of a would-be assassin at a rally in Butler. And it will be a key battleground in the US presidential election in November, thanks to the electoral college system. With that in mind, Question Time is heading to the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia for a policy debate with an American panel and audience.

For context, viewers may also want to catch The Choice: Harris v Trump on PBS America at 8.35pm, which explores the leadership style of both candidates and their intentions for the country they hope to lead.
