The feature debut from writer/director Nida Mansoor (We Are Lady Parts) is an effervescent and unpredictable blend of kick-ass action and comic capers. Teenager and aspiring stuntwoman Ria (Priya Kansara) is determined to nix the proposed nuptials when she discovers that her sister Lena (Ritu Arya) has fallen for suspiciously suave surgeon Salim (Akshay Khanna). Enlisting the help of her friends (Ella Bruccoleri, Seraphina Beh), Ria embarks on a plan to dig up some dirt on Salim at any cost, while squaring up against the school bully (Shona Babayemi) and Salim's deliciously devious mother (Nimra Bucha). Mansoor keeps us guessing to the last about where all this is leading, thanks to the unreliable first-person perspective offered by Kansara's sparky heroine. Between a gym changing-room heist and some slick martial arts set pieces, there's barely time to question Mansoor's more outlandish plotting gambits as the jokes and punches land squarely.
