Ted Lasso season 4 finally gets premiere date confirmed as first look at new episodes unveiled
The Apple TV sitcom dropped a brief teaser set to a moving new song.

Apple TV has announced a premiere date for Ted Lasso season 4, which is headed to the streaming platform this August.
After three years away, Jason Sudeikis's ever-optimistic football coach is returning to AFC Richmond, only this time to help the women's team out of their slump.
He'll be reuniting with some firm favourites from the original series, including club owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) and marketing pro Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), plus a number of brand new characters.
Joining the party are Tanya Reynolds (The Other Bennet Sister) and Faye Marsay (Andor) in as-yet-undisclosed roles, while Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi) is taking over the expanded role of Ted's son, Henry.
If you're excited to see what the next chapter has in store, then mark your calendar accordingly: Ted Lasso season 4 will premiere on Apple TV on Wednesday 5 August 2026.

The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new image from the upcoming season, which features Ted himself alongside his longtime pal Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) and new assistant coach, as played by Reynolds.
While Ted grins in the centre, the colleagues to either side of him appear considerably less confident in the players they're working with, who are languishing in the second division at the start of this chapter.
Apple also unveiled the very first Ted Lasso season 4 teaser trailer, which is relatively light on plot and dialogue, but drops some fleeting hints as to what our characters have been up to since we last saw them.
From romance for Rebecca to friction between Keeley and Roy, it seems as if there will be plenty to tug at the heartstrings – and if you're wondering, the Ted Lasso season 4 trailer song is Rubber Band Man by Mumford & Sons and Hozier.

Ted Lasso co-star Waddingham bagged the scoop of an August launch for season 4 back in February, when she let slip on the BAFTA Film Awards red carpet that the show was likely to return then – before hastily adding that she could be "wrong".
It means that Ted Lasso season 4 will be kicking off just a couple of weeks after the FIFA World Cup 2026 concludes, making it a lovely way to celebrate or console depending on whether your favoured team wins or loses.
In addition to the aforementioned, the Ted Lasso cast also includes Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Meanwhile, original series star Nick Mohammed has declined to confirm whether he appears as Ted's former protege Nate Shelley.
