And these claims have proven true, as Rockstar have just confirmed that the file size of GTA 6 for both Xbox and PS5 via a blog post on their website, and it looks like the game will be a whopping 212 GB for both platforms.

Digital pre-loading for the PS5 will begin on Tuesday 10 November at midnight in respective players' local time zone. Whereas for Xbox Series X/S users, pre-loading will begin globally on Tuesday 10 November at midnight UK time.

We all knew that GTA 6 would be bigger than GTA 5, but this 212 GB file size is absolutely ginormous – exactly whether or not the GTA 6’s file size will also be the same on PC, or if the game will even land on PC at some point, is up in the air.

But if the file size is an indication of anything it's that GTA 6 will undoubtedly be incredibly detailed, as we’ve seen in the trailers, from the visuals to the gameplay mechanics.

What's for certain, though, is that on 19 November you’re going to want to free up some storage space.

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on 19 November across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
