Games are getting more expensive to develop, and with titles such as Highguard and Concord failing to meet expectations, many gamers are anxious to see titles do well, and as such, we’ve got the 007 First Light sales numbers, with an estimate of how much money it has made.

Recently, there was much hubbub surrounding the Subnautica 2 sales figures, though that had the added twist of legal action against the publisher over withheld bonuses not being paid out. Still, at least 007 First Light doesn’t have to recoup as much money as GTA 6 will.

But, as we’ll get onto, developers IO Interactive might not need to worry all too much, as 007 First Light is great, with Radio Times Gaming Editor Rob Leane describing it as a “binge-worthy box-set of James Bond blockbusters” in his review, with many setpieces and great moments found across the varied missions that make up the main story.

But just how much money has James Bond brought home? Read on!

007 First Light sales numbers: How much money has it made?

007 First Light has sold over 1.5 million copies within 24 hours of launch, according to developers IO Interactive.

The team took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the milestone.

That was on 28 May 2026, so that figure has no doubt crept up since then. The standard edition of 007 First Light costs £59.99, and so we can realistically guess that the game has made north of £90 million, especially when the Deluxe Edition is taken into consideration.

As reported by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), 007 First Light took IO Interactive seven years to develop and cost a cool 1.5 billion Danish kroner (circa £150 million).

With this in mind, IO Interactive will most likely need to sell another 1.5 million copies or so at full price in order for 007 First Light to make a profit.

With the Nintendo Switch 2 version yet to come out and planned 007 First Light DLC, it’s likely that the game will make a profit soon enough. There are other levels for IO Interactive to pull as well, such as sales later down the line.
