Summary

Black comedy starring Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis. Three downtrodden, demoralised workers decide enough is enough and hatch a plan to kill each other's bosses. They seek advice from an ex-con, but devising the perfect crime proves trickier than expected.

Stella Papamichael

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day star in this black comedy as exploited workers who agree to kill each other's bosses. In practice, though, the trio are just too drippy to credibly entertain such a plan. The film's funnier scenes happen early on when the three are subjected to various indignities in the workplace. As the bosses in question, Colin Farrell gets some cheap laughs with his greasy comb-over, but Jennifer Aniston tries too hard as a sex-crazed dentist, while Kevin Spacey phones it in as a power-hungry bigwig. The plot doesn't really go anywhere, but the easy rapport shared by the would-be murderers is enjoyably diverting.
