Summary

Horror thriller starring Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens and Alisha Weir. A ragtag gang kidnaps the 12-year-old daughter of a wealthy crime lord, intending to hold her for ransom. Holed up in an empty mansion, the group starts to be picked off one by one - and it gradually transpires that this cute young ballerina isn't all she seems.

A simple kidnapping takes some wild turns in this fizzing, fang-in-cheek horror yarn from the directors behind the 2022 revival of the Scream franchise. Six bickering, disparate mercenaries expect a big payday when they abduct a tycoon's ballet-obsessed pre-teen daughter (Alisha Weir, of the Matilda musical film) and hole up in a mazy, Hammer-worthy mansion for the night. But all is not as it seems and the gang's feuding and bravado soon give way to locked-in terror as a monstrously lethal presence makes itself known. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are well-versed in horror lore and stuff their film with knowing references, gruesome twists and killer lines, not to mention juicy performances from a great cast led by Dan Stevens, Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton and Giancarlo Esposito.
