Although not much of a slam dunk, this Netflix sports drama makes for watchable and feel-good fare thanks to its star and self-confessed basketball fanatic, Adam Sandler. Produced by superstar player LeBron James, it follows Sandler as a down-on-his-luck scout for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, who finds a rare but raw talent on the streets of Spain (played by real-life pro Juancho Hernangómez) and brings him back to Pennsylvania for a shot at the big time. The ensuing quest for sporting glory takes a path that has been well-trodden since Rocky - although Hernangómez is no Stallone and makes little impression without a ball in his hand. However, Sandler is charismatic and wholly believable in his role, and there's expert support from Robert Duvall and Queen Latifah, while basketball fans will enjoy cameos from a number of famous faces.
