Our Score
This industrial-strength animated fantasy reinforces all the coy clichés of Charles Perrault's classic story, though not the sexual ones - this is a Disney film, after all. There are some delightful singing mice, a sadistically erotic stepmother and a languidly cruel cat called Lucifer, voiced by June Foray. But what really gives an extra dimension to this charming yarn are the songs: the Oscar-nominated Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, sung by Verna Felton, and the winsome A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes, performed by Ilene Woods.

Summary

An orphan is forced to live a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother. The king of the realm she lives in organises a lavish ball to find a bride for his son, and a caring fairy godmother puts her magic to the task of turning the downtrodden girl into a princess. Disney animated fairytale, with the voices of Ilene Woods, William Phipps and Verna Felton.
